Local Radio and TV

Because of the time difference to the mainland, Hawaii's prime-time television schedule has always been tape delayed. Since local stations have never taken the programming "live" from the networks, they've been able to sell a few extra commercials and slip the clock a bit throughout an evenings broadcast. This means that the local 10:00 p.m. news will start about 10:10.

Here is a link to Melvin Ah Ching Productions "Hawaii Radio and Television Guide".

Personal favorites include KINE-FM in Honolulu for Hawaiian music and the KHON news with Joe Moore at 6:00 and 10:00.
